All children aged 3 and 4 are entitled to 15 hours of free early learning and care per week (Universal Entitlement) from the term after their 3rd birthday. For eligible working families who meet the required criteria, an additional 15 hours per week (Extended Entitlement) is available. Parents have to apply for an Eligibility Code, which has to be checked and verified before the additional hours can be offered – please see www.childcarechoices.gov.uk The Pre-School receives a funding subsidy from Wokingham Borough Council to make the free entitlement places available at no cost to parents. Kilnsea Pre-School offers a maximum of 22.5 hours per week. The entitlement can be split between settings, providing each setting offers the full free entitlement as a matter of course. There is a 2 Year Old Free Entitlement, but certain criteria must be met for a child to be eligible (see GOV.UK and Wokingham Borough Council websites). Any extra hours/sessions taken over the free entitlement, if parents are not eligible for the Extended Entitlement, would have to be paid for (the current fees rate is £6.25 per hour).Children are eligible to start Kilnsea Pre-School from the age of 2, subject to availability of places . You can register your child on the waiting list from the age of 18 months. To register your child, you will need to complete a registration form. A non-returnable administration fee of £20 is payable, when you register. Twins will only be charged one administration fee.
